The move that gave me my village back, and released ‘perfect parenting’.

A decade ago, while pregnant with my second baby, I was breaking under the pressure to be everything.

The perfect mom.

The supportive partner.

The ambitious professional.

The emotional anchor.

The multitasking machine.

And still… I felt like I was failing at all of it.

Why? Because I was doing it alone—with just my partner.

We had no village.

My husband’s family is Kenyan. Mine is Indian.

But since we were both raised in the U.S., somewhere in that cultural mix, the generational support I was hoping for—extended family, close friends, aunties and uncles—just wasn’t there.

It broke my heart.

And it broke me in ways I didn’t fully understand until much later.

But that grief?

It became a turning point.

✨ I realized: If the village I needed didn’t exist… I’d have to create one.

That’s when we made a bold decision: We moved abroad—to Portugal to create this very thing… our village.

And in doing so, I reimagined what life could look like as a parent and a person.

We found schools that love our kids and stay open late.

A community where children are welcome everywhere and can move about freely and independently.

A culture where we had the space to be human again—to rest, to create, and to build income that aligned with our values.

But this wasn’t luck.

We consciously designed this life—with a framework, a strategy, and support.

And after guiding dozens of other families through this same transformation, I turned it into something repeatable—something other parents could follow too.

👉 That’s why I created Families Go Abroad.

It’s my 12-month group coaching program for thoughtful, freedom-seeking families who want to build sustainable income and move abroad—without needing six figures in the bank or sacrificing their careers.

Inside, you’ll:

✔️ Build $5K/month+ of location-independent income using 4 proven pathways

✔️ Choose the right country, visa, schools, and neighborhood for your family

✔️ Create a relocation roadmap that supports your values, goals, and sanity

✔️ Stop spinning in research—and finally move forward with clarity and confidence

Can you imagine what it would feel like to:

Leisurely mornings sipping coffee, followed by a five-minute stroll to drop the kids at the local school—no chaotic commutes or busy starts to the day.

This isn’t a fantasy.

It’s a step-by-step plan—and a supportive community to walk it with you.

We’ve got 3 spots open for our June cohort.

We start in 2 weeks.

👉 I invite you to join my program: Join my program today!

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

That’s the beauty of building your own village in Portugal.

Let’s do this together.

P.S. It’s a big decision but it can be done with a lot more ease and less stress, here’s what I mean…

It wasn’t just about HOW to move—it was about the deeper “why”.

When Ariana came to me, she believed she and her family were ready to move to Portugal. They had done the research. The finances were in place. The decision was made. But what she didn’t expect was this: “While I was focused on the what and how of our impending move, Meghana gracefully guided me to focus more deeply on the why… After some deep introspection (and a few tears), it became clear that while I was mentally and financially ready for this major life change, I was not yet spiritually...

Real families. Real moves. Real change.

Dear dreamer Reader I get this question all the time: “But Meghana… is this actually possible for my family?” Let me tell you what my client A.A. said: “Meghana helped me take our dream of moving abroad—school, visas, work and all—and turn it into a real, doable plan. We made the move in less than 12 months. Life-changing.” Or from K.N.: “With Meghana’s support, I launched two passion projects and aligned my work with my values—all while staying present with my family.” If you’re thoughtful,...

Truth is, most families will never move abroad. Not because they don’t want it badly enough. Not because it’s too expensive or too risky. But because they think they have to figure it all out before they even begin. That belief? It’s the trap. It’s why so many smart, capable families stay stuck in endless research loops—burning out on facebook groups, spreadsheets, and YouTube channels—while life keeps moving. If that sounds familiar, and you’re ready to break out of the cycle, we need to...
